The Stanley Uzochukwu Foundation was established by a young man who began life with a humble background, supported primarily by his mother. Despite life’s challenges, his mentor, Cosmos Maduka, recognized his potential and provided him with a life-changing opportunity.
Driven by this act of faith and empowerment, Dr. Uzochukwu has passionately launched numerous philanthropic initiatives dedicated to positively impacting the lives of countless young people and widows across the country. And so the story of the Stanley Uzochukwu Foundation (SUF) began.
The Stanley Uzochukwu Foundation (SUF) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization in Nigeria. Our mission is to enable youth and widows to thrive in a world of abundant resources and to harness their innate potential for positive self-development. SUF enhances the quality of life for widows and young people through mobilization, training, mentorship, empowerment, and partnership programs in areas such as entrepreneurship, innovation, secure livelihoods, child development, youth and widow empowerment, and self-reliance.
Founded in 2013, SUF has delivered high-quality programs and initiatives, partnering extensively with both local and international development organizations. SUF pioneered the Widow’s Relief Initiative in the southeast region of Nigeria in 2015. Since then, SUF has supported over 2,000 young people in their entrepreneurial and career journeys through our dedicated team of vibrant and passionate staff in our offices in Akwa, Jos, and most recently, Lagos. We aim to expand our reach across all 36 states to eliminate poverty and unemployment in Nigeria.
